Interest-free loans offered for medium, Small-scale Ilocos Norte traders

BAGUIO CITY(October 9, 2020) – Interest-free loans are being offered by the Ilocos Norte provincial government to small time businesses to help them bounce back from the impact of COVID-19.
Under the “Microfinancing for Micro and Small Enterprises Most Affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic” Program, qualified applicants whose businesses are still in operation can avail a working capital worth Php 10,000 to Php 200,000with zero interest and payable in 12 months.
The program will prioritize the “underprivileged” or startup businesses with an asset worth Php 300,000 below, followed by small and medium enterprises, the provincial government explained.
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME)Office will accept applications starting on October 12, 2020, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Applicants are required to submit the following requirements: accomplished loan application form, one government-issued ID, proof of business address, barangay business certification and mayor’s permit, Department of Trade and Industry Registration, and latest financial statement or proof of income.
