Mas maraming pamumuhunan nakikita sa pinabuting relasyon ng Filipino-Chinese

Ang relasyon ng Pilipinas at China ay nagiging mas mabuti sa nakatakdang mas maraming negosyante na mamumuhunan sa bansa, sabi ng isang opisyal ng Baguio-Benguet Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCCI).
Sinabi ni Peter Ng, president ng FCCCI, na ang relasyon sa pagitan ng dalawang bansa ay nasa “best shape” lalo na sa malapit na relasyong itinatag ni Pangulong Rodrigo R. Duterte sa isa sa kinikilalang higante sa ekonomiya na bansa sa buong mundo.
“From what I have heard from the Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Manila, the President has been encouraging investors from mainland China to invest here in the Philippines especially in tourism,” aniya.
Inalala ni Ng na isang Filipino-Chinese na ipinanganak sa lungsod na limang taon na ang nakalilipas ay tinanong siya kung ano ang nakikita niya sa relasyon ng dalawang bansa.
“My answer was: I hope the relationship between our countries will be a joint venture and it happened,” pahayag ni Ng.
“With better understanding and cooperation of Filipino-Chinese community, this will strengthen our historical friendship,” dagdag niya.
Nagpahayag din ng pag-asa si Mayor Maurocio Domogan na ang mabuting relasyon sa pagitan ng Filipino-Chinese community at lungsod ng Baguio at mamamayan nito ay mapapanatili at mapagyaman, na sinabing, “they are our trusted partners in the development of our city”.
Sinabi ni Domogan na sa oras ng mga kalamidad ay agad nagpapadala ang Chinese community ng tulong at suporta sa mga biktima.
“It’s not only them being a model in managing business in our city but they are also our brothers and sisters whom we can trust. Our partners in our city’s development,”aniya.
“Let us continue to make our city investment friendly to different investors,” dagdag ni Domogan.
