Mountain Province weaves or local Inabe
Mountain Province weaves or local Inabe were featured during the 9th HABI Fair last October 10-13, 2019 at the Glorietta in Makati. Visitors were given a glimpse of the different weaves created in the province, particularly those made in the municipalities of Paracelis, Besao Sagada and Sabangan.
The HABI Fair organized by the Philippine Textile Council is an annual event that brings together the best local weavers and artisans from all over the country.
HABI advocates in using pure Philippine cotton and other natural local fibers in the creation of local woven products by different communities particularly indigenous communities. The fabrics from Mountain Province were sold out during the Fair.
