PAO employee returns lost and found check
SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union — The Provincial Assessor’s Office headed by Provincial Assessor Arnulfo A. Cacho returned a check amounting to Php100,000 found at the receiving area of the Provincial Assessor’s Office recently.
The check, contained in a brown envelope was spotted under a chair by Meann Mupa, a casual employee of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) while doing regular cleaning routine at the office in the afternoon of March 4, 2019.
She immediately reported it to the Administrative Office. The envelope was later found to contain documents and a “pay to cash” check.
In a CCTV Footage, the owners were seen holding the brown envelope while requesting for an Annotation of Mortgage at the Receiving Area of the Provincial Assessor’s Office.
The check owners were identified to be residents of Barangay Pagdalagan Sur, Bauang, La Union.
