The PSA’s provincial offices in CAR aimed to register 848,205 persons in the 1st Semester of 2022 for the Step 2 registration of the Philippine Identification System program. The target was allocated to the six provinces as a proportion of their population based on the
2020 Census of Population and Housing.
The following are the registration rates of the various PhilSys registration teams by province: Abra – (60.1%) of the targeted 90,350. Apayao – (89.6%) of the aimed 27,800. Benguet – (71.6 %) of its 563,255 allocation. Ifugao and Kalinga have the same target of 62,550, registering (44.5%) and (65.4%) respectively.
Mountain Province was able to register 56.1 % of its 41,700 allocations. Per data from the Philippine Postal Corporation (PhilPost), 50,499 PhilID cards have been delivered to recipients as of May 27, 2022, which make up (11%) of the PhilSys registrants in CAR from May 2021 to June 30, 2022.
Those still without the ID can check the status of their PhilIDs by going to PhilPost’s tracking site (https://tracking.phlpost.gov.ph), and entering the PhilSys Registration Transaction Number printed on the transaction slip provided to all Step 2 registrants.
Recently, the Philippine Statistics Authority launched the PhilSys Check, a website that enables a person/party to verify the authenticity of a PhilID card and the information contained in its QR code. PhilID cards can now be verified through https://verify.philsys.gov.ph.
