Sanitation at health public consultations itinakda

LUNGSOD NG BAGUIO – Iniimbitahan ang mga interesadong indibiduwal at grupo o ahensiya na dumalo sa idaraos na public consultations sa Disyembre 5 at 12 sa multipurpose hall ng lungsod, na ang parehong mga isyu ay nakatutok tungo sa health at sanitation, ecology atenvironmental protection.

Ang committee na pinamumunuan ni Councilor Joel Alangsab ay gagawin ang public hearing sa Disyembre 5, 1 n.h. hanggang 5 n.h. ukol sa panukalang ordinansa 0127-19; “Setting the sanitation standards for food establishments operating within the city of Baguio.”

Ang kalahating araw na forum ay tatalakayin ang isyu sa sanitary clearance at health certificates, sanitary practices and protection of food, structural requirements, facilities, sewage, storage, equipment design and maintenance, and food service operations. Special provisions as to space, classification of food establishments, operation of catering businesses including bulk food preparation, food booth operations, stalls, carts in carnivals and fairs, food and drink vending machines ay tatalakayin din.

Ang mga ipinagbabawal na gawain at multa ay paguusapan din sa panahon ng forum. Fund requirements, proceeds from penalties collected, orientation seminars and training, information dissemination, enforcement on employers and individuals/employees at iba pang mahalagang bagay ay kabilang sa talakayan ng komite na binubuo ng City Health, Education and Promotion, City Legal, Public Information, Permits and Licensing, Public Order and Safety Division (POSD), General Services City Environment and Parks Management Officers; the City Treasurer, City Administrator, Enforcement agencies, Chair on the Committee on health and sanitation, coordinator of the committee at iba pang kinauukulang mga opisina.

Isa pang imbitasyon ni Secretary to the Sanggunian Brenner Bengwayan sa isang public hearing ay para sa Disyembre 12, 8n.u. hanggang 5 n.h. sa multi-purpose hall ng lungsod para sa panukalang ordinansa PO0134-19; “Prohibiting the chewing, spitting of betel quid or “moma” and selling of “moma” products in certain places,” with penalties set for violations.

Ang prohibisyon ay sakop ang mga pampublikong lugar, mga pampublikong sasakyan at behikulo, mga sasakyang pag-aari ng gobyerno, entertainment and accommodation establishments at public buildings, at iba pa, na tatalakayin sa forum. Ang multa para sa una, pangalawa, ikatlo at sumusunod na paglabag ay titingnan din, gayundin ang pagpopondo, pamamahagi ng multa, implementing rules and regulations, at iba pang mga probisyon.

Ang task force anti-moma ay pinamumunuan ni Mayor Benjamin Magalong, kasama ang health and sanitation, ecology and environmental protection committee head bilang vice-chair.

Representative-members mula sa city health services, building, legal, public information, permits and licensing, civil society organization representative/s, Philippine National Police, city treasurer, environment and parks management officers; Department of Education, Commission on Higher Education and Federation of Parents and Teachers Association, Local President ng Liga ng mga Barangay, POSD, City Social Welfare and Development Office at iba pang kinauukulang mga ahensiya.
