WAR OF OUR FATHERS
Philippine Veterans Bank (PVB) participates in the celebration of Benguet Province’s Adivay 2023 Festival and 123rd Foundation Anniversary by bringing history to the people of Benguet through PVB’s Traveling Exhibit, entitled “War of Our Fathers – A Brotherhood of Heroes” at the Lobby of the Provincial Capitol of Benguet.
The official launch, marked by a simple ribbon-cutting ceremony, Monday, November 13, 2023 and graced by Officials from the Provincial Government of Benguet, joined by PVB Director Percianita G. Racho, VP for Veterans Affairs Office Andres B. Saracho, and PVB – Baguio Branch Manager Jacqueline G. Emman. This exhibit, a recipient of Anvil and Gold Quill Awards, is a visual journey that showcases photographs, images, and memorabilias from World War II in the Philippines.
It stands as a tribute to the bravery, patriotism, and determination of the Filipinos who fought for freedom during a tough time in the country’s history. It also aims to teach today’s generation about the lessons of war and to remember our Filipino World War II veterans. The exhibit is open to the public until November 22, 2023.
