Baguio police enforce Enhanced Community Quarantine in City of Pines

BAGUIO CITY – The Baguio City Police Office would be strict in the conduct of enhanced community quarantine measures and be lenient in screening the movement of people in the area.
According to City Director, Police Colonel Allen Rae Co, the procedures of the enhanced community quarantine include limits on movement, which is partial to residences unless reasons are essential to work, buying of rations, medical purposes and important matters.
In relation to checkpoints being manned by the policemen, “they are the ones being at risk on the frontline for the safety of the public, the people must understand that this is for their welfare, he added.
Meanwhile, City Mayor Benjamin Magalong gave an advisory on the entry and exit in Baguio City. There will be Special passes available for the transport of essentials within the city limits and can be avail at the Baguio City Police Office.
For those who wish to travel outside Baguio City, a Special Permit will be available at the City Mayor’s office.
Those coming from outside places must submit health declaration forms to the checkpoints; parents can fetch their children from Baguio as well as those who need to go home to their provinces and work-related travels outside. Baguio but they need to inform their travel.
Additionally, private vehicles that will bring passengers to the airports will be allowed to go back to Baguio City but advised to call the COVID hotlines for registration purposes.
