Man commits suicide due to depression

A thirty year old male committed suicide allegedly after suffering from depression since the first of this month. In a report received from Station 2 Commander, Police Major Joel Kindipan Dumar, the alleged suicide transpired at about 7:55 AM of November 2, 2019 at the bridge of M. Roxas Trancoville beside the Baguio Baptist Church.
The victim was wearing a hooded black sweatshirt with markings at the back, black cargo pants and slippers. CCTV review by the personnel of the Baguio City Command Center revealed that the victim climbed the bridge and jumped to the river.
Joint personnel from Baguio City Emergency Medical Service (BCEMS), Bureau of Fire Protection(BFP), City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management(CDRRMC) and the Baguio City Police Office(BCPO) Station 2 aided in rescuing the victim who was lying in prone position at the cemented surface of the Balili River.
Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) Team led by Police Major Chester Nitron processed the crime scene and found that the initial cause of death was an open skull fracture (frontal) The victim who is a native of Lagawe, Ifugao was identified by his sister, who was assisted by personnel of BCPO Station 2 at the Baguio City command center to personally view the CCTV footage of the incident.
