“PROCOR weekend operation yields 4 drug personalities; P200K marijuana torched.”
The series of anti-illegal drug operations of PROCOR conducted during the weekend yielded the arrest of four drug personalities while Php
200,000.00 worth of marijuana was eradicated in Benguet on June 18-19, 2022.
Based on the reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, the arrested drug personalities were identified as Aldy Pinolgan, 21; Aries Anicas, 23; Clemente Vega, 44; and Christopher Lizardo, 27.
Suspect Aldy was arrested by the operatives of BCPO Aurora Hill Police Station (PS6) after he sold one (1) plastic sachet of suspected shabu
weighing more or less 0.70 grams with a standard drug price (SDP) of Php 4,760.00 while another five (5) plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 3.10 grams with an SDP of Php 21,080.00 was confiscated from his possession.
Meanwhile, suspect Aries was arrested by the operatives of BCPO Camdas Police Station (PS2) after he sold one (1) plastic sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less 0.23 grams with an SDP of Php 1,564.00 while another plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 6.7 grams with an SDP of Php 45,560.00 was confiscated from his possession.
In a separate buy-bust operation, suspect Clemente was arrested by the operatives of BCPO Legarda Police Station (PS5) after he sold one (1) plastic sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less 0.3 grams with an SDP of Php 2,040.00 to an operative acting as a poseur buyer.
In another buy-bust operation, suspect Christopher was arrested by the operatives of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of Abra PPO after selling one (1) plastic sachet of suspected shabu weighing 0.11 grams with an SDP of Php 748.00. to an operative acting as a poseur buyer.
The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of the respective operating units for documentation and proper disposition while charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the arrested suspects.
In Brgy. Kayapa, Bakun, the operatives of Benguet PPO conducted a marijuana eradication operation that resulted in the discovery and destruction of 1,000 pieces of fully-grown marijuana plants with an SDP of Php 200,000.00.
All marijuana plants were uprooted and destroyed onsite. No cultivator was apprehended during the said operations, while an investigation is ongoing to identify the possible cultivators.
