2 cops arrested for mulcting STL operator in Benguet

LA TRINIDAD, BENGUET – Counter-intelligence policemen caught two of their own on Wednesday night (June 6) here on charges of mulcting on the operator of Small Town Lottery in here.
Alleged members of the Counter Intelligence Task Force (CITF) wearing green camouflage police uniforms caught Senior Police Officer Paulino Lubos and Senior Police Officer 4 Gilbert Legaspi, both assigned at the intelligence branch of the Benguet police, at around 7:30pm at Puguis, here.
The two police officers were hauled into a white Toyota van and a Sports utility vehicle with still unknown plate numbers and sped off where the two were “picked up”.
The La Trinidad town police inquired with the Tactical Operations Center of the CITF in Camp Crame, Quezon City and was informed that SPO2 Lubos and SPO4 Legaspi were arrested during an entrapment operation by CITF for alleged robbery and extortion.
The duo, who are with the CITF in Camp Crame, were reportedly complained by the STL operator in La Trinidad, the Benguet police said. ACE ALEGRE / ABN
