Benguet Governor Melchor Diclas said that the entry of the African Swine Fever virus in the province of Benguet was due to the unscrupulous shippers who resorted to deceitful acts such as the transport of undocumented pigs using private vehicles to evade checkpoints, fake documents, misdeclaration of sources, unauthorized reproduction of ASF negative tests, in order to bring in their commodities into the province recently.
Here, La Trinidad Municipal Police intercepted a pickup truck which was covered by tarps which was used in the transport of piglets that came from Pangasinan last week.
