The ancestral house of the family of Ilocos Sur First District Rep. Diogracias “DV” Sevillano burned down Wednesday before 10 in the evening.
Arson investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire that total gutted the split-level log cabin that lasted two hours before it was declared fire-out before 1am Thursday. Jerry Labador, 67 years old, the caretaker he was fast asleep when he was awakened and noticed smoke filled the lower floor of the house and fire embers were dropping from the ceiling. A concerned resident called BCPO Station 1 to report the fire.
