LUISITA BAGS FIL-CHAMPIONSHIP SENIORS CROWN; CAMP JOHN HAY 1, CITY OF PINES TRIUMPHED

Luisita Golf Club scored a fourday aggregate 494 points to dethrone Manila Southwoods in the FilChampionship at the close of the seniors’ competition of the 73rd Januarius Fil-Am Golf
Invitational. Abe Rosal produced 33 points to power Luisita’s final charge at the short but tricky
Baguio Country Club course en route to 114 points.Other scorers include Rodel Mangulabnan 29, Chino Raymundo 27 and Dan Cruz 25 for the Tarlac-based squad finished with 494.

“The players really wanted the win. This victory would serve as an inspiration for us for the PAL Interclub next year,” said Luisita non-playing captain Jeric Hechanova, whose team last won in the FilAm in 2019. Manila Southwoods tallied 475 to include its final round of 104 led by the 31 of Junjun Plana, 26 of Bong Brobio, 25 of Raul Miñoza and 22 of Theody Pascual. And Greenwater placed third with Harley Palangchao top scored for City of Pines to power his team’s total of 296 en route for the title in Fil-F (Regular) Flight. Palangchao, editor of of Baguio Midland Courier tamed
the BCC and CJH golf courses, scoring 82 total points including his 20 points in the final round.

Actually, Mark Jeff Balangitan led City of Pines final charge at BCC, scoring 26 points. He was supported by Aaron Cadiogan (22) and Michael Lawana (16). Other top teams in Fil-F (Regular) include The New Ones Sandiwa (272) and Team BanhMi (270). Camp John Hay Golf Club1 took Fil-A division seniors’ title 410 total; points including its 92 on the last day. Villamor Bumanlag capped CJH 1 final round with 26 points. He was supported by Pacifico Fiesta (24) while Dai Tsuchiya and Bayani Tecson scored identical 21.

Silcon Vallet Golferes Link Team settled for second spot with 383 while Team Okinawa 1 came in third with (369). The tournament was highlighted by Gilbert Moraleda of Fairgolf Club Sydney Team 1 and Antonio Batao of Eagle Masters 1 ,who scored separate aces.
