NAPOLCOM sets Special Promotional Exams for cops

CAMP COL. JOAQUIN P DUNUAN, LAGAWE, IFUGAO – The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) announced the conduct of a Special Philippine National Police (PNP) Entrance and Promotional Examinations on May 27, 2018 which will be held at the PNP Training Service, Camp Crame Elementary School and High School, and Camp Aguinaldo High School, all in Quezon City. The period of filing of applications will start on May 2 until May 10, 2018.
NAPOLCOM Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer Atty. Rogelio T. Casurao said that the special PNP entrance exams are open for Police Officers I (PO1) whose appointments are temporary for lack of appropriate eligibility, while the PNP promotional exams are open exclusively to all PNP uniformed personnel (Police Officers, Senior Police Officers, Police Inspectors and Police Superintendents) who are college graduates and candidates for attrition by non-promotion due to lack of eligibility.
Application forms and index cards can be obtained for free at any NAPOLCOM Regional Office nationwide. They may also be downloaded from www.napolcom.gov.ph.
Applicants may file their application forms personally at any of the 17 NAPOLCOM Regional Offices nationwide. Applications received through postal mail shall not be processed.
Application form must be accompanied by the following documents: two recent, identical and color 1”x1” ID pictures with white background and complete name tag (indicate the rank before the name); one legal size window envelope with P20 worth of mailing stamp; certified true copy of Attested Appointment, Plantilla Appointment or PNP Absorption Order; and Report of Rating/Certification issued by the NAPOLCOM Central Office, CSC Certificate of Eligibility and/or PRC Board Certificate.
Examination fee is P400 for the Police Officer Examination; P450 for Senior Police Officer Examination; P500 for Police Inspector Examination; and P600 for Police Superintendent Examination.
The Commission reiterates that committing any form of cheating is unacceptable. As per NAPOLCOM Memorandum Circular No. 2013-007 issued on October 30, 2013, civilian examinees shall be permanently barred from taking the PNP entrance examination. Moreover, if these acts were committed by a police officer, he/she shall be charged with dishonesty and, if found guilty, be meted the penalty of dismissal from the service. CRISTINA D.
