PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD

The City Government of Baguio congratulates and commended Mauricio Victa for winning the People’s Choice Award at the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) 14th Annual Photo Contest (2020). The contest aimed to capture and spotlight people and milestones that align with the Center’s 11th Five-Year Plan (FYP 2020-2025) with the tagline: Accelerating Transformation Through Agricultural Innovation (ATTAIN).
This is also SEARCA’s first photo contest conducted online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr. Victa is also an awardee for two (2) consecutive years during the confederation of the ASEAN journalism awards in Hanoi, Vietnam showcasing the Cordillera Celebration hosted by the City of Baguio.
He is also a Hall of Famer where he received the Oriental Leaf Award during the Ninth (9th) Brightleaf Agriculture Journalism Awards held on November 27, 2015, Agriculture Photo of the year in 2008, Tobacco Photo of the Year in 2011, 2013, 2014 and the 2012 Tobacco Story of the year.
The Resolution of Commendation is awarded by Mayor Benjamin Magalong with Congressman Marquez Go and Vice Mayor Faustino Olowan with members of the Baguio City Council to Mauricio Victa during the Flag Raising Ceremony at the Baguio City Hall Grounds.
