The Conner District Hospital in Apayao received on Thursday, April 30, 2020, the specimen collection booths from the DOST to aid in mass testing to better combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
The DOH requested the DOST to design and build specimen collection booths to boost and increase hospital testing capacity for COVID-19, The DOST Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) said that the SCB are compact, with good ventilation, easy to mobilize, can remotely monitor the patient’s temperature and is a good protective barrier between the frontliners and the suspected COVID19 patient.
In the Cordillera region, at least seven (7) units were allocated for the different hospitals whish are expected to be delivered the soonest.
