AI Analyzer Can Detect COVID19 Cases In Two Minutes

BAGUIO CITY (March 24, 2020) — First in the country, an Artificial Intelligence COVID19 CT Scan Analyzer, a new technology of Huawei company that helps doctors detect Coronavirus Disease in just two minutes, will be operational Tuesday afternoon at the Baguio General Hospital.
Mayor Benjie Magalong said the city’s Management Information and Technical Division (MITD) has been working together with the technical team of Huawei and Baguio doctors set up the system at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center.
“It will be the first of its kind in the country,” the mayor said, explaining that the AI analyzer is a diagnostic system that would help doctors identify highly suspicious COVID19 cases.
Current screening test kits takes 4-5 days to confirm COVID19 infection. Test runs on the state of the art technology by Huawei are already ongoing.
Huawei-EVI support team and the city’s MITD team has been attending to all information and communication technology and closed circuit television requirements of the city in the COVID operations.
