DAR – CAR gives 79 Tabuk farmers CLOA titles

The Department of Agrarian Reform – Cordillera distributed Certificate of Land Ownership Awards (CLOA) titles to 79 farmers from two barangays in Tabuk City totaling to 56 hectares of land Wednesday at the Tabuk State University.
DAR – Cordillera director Eugene Follante gave the CLOA titles to 35 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARB) in barangay Balawag, measuring
a total of 11.279 hectares, while 44 ARBs in barangay Cudal got 44.5474 hectares of farm lands from said agency.
Under the SPLIT project (Support for Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling), the DAR has fast-tracked the subdivision of lands with Collective Certificate of Land Ownership Awards and issued individual CLOAs to beneficiaries, director Follante said.
“These are individual CLOA which was already subdivided and titled to each beneficiary so that you can call it your own instead of giving you a Collective CLOA where each will not hold a title but as a group,” Follante explained.
Also under the SPLIT project, it was the DAR which shouldered all the expenses in the issuance of the individual CLOAs.
“Now we have the SPLIT project of the DAR, wherein everything is free, a beneficiary will not spend a centavo in changing, subdividing and registering,” he added.
Mayor Darwin Estranero’s representative Gerry Donaal, thanked the DAR and partner agencies in Tabuk for the support programs they provided while he also recognized the hard work of farmers as agriculture remains to be the main economic driver of the city.
“The farmers should recognize the fact that even if Tabuk is now a city, agriculture remains to be the number one economic driver. The mayor wants to thank the DAR – Cordillera and other partner agencies for the program they have given here in Tabuk. He wants to thank the DAR – Kalinga for the project it has given to our city especially in agriculture,” he added in Iloko.
During the CLOA distribution, Director Follante also awarded Certificates of Training on Solar Power Installation and Maintenance, Certificates of Projects granted to ARB Organizations in 2020 and 2021, Oath taking of officers of Barangay Agrarian Reform Committee, and two new Provincial Agrarian Reform Coordinating Committee members, and the turnover of Common Service Facilities, farm tools, and equipment to the Pasil Multi-Purpose Cooperative.
