Pagmonitor sa kuryente, gasolina ng lungsod iniutos ng mayor

LUNGSOD NG BAGUIO – Nagbigay ng direktiba noong nakaraang linggo si Mayor Mauricio G. Domogan sa pagmonitor ng konsumo sa kuryente at gasoline ng pamahalaang lungsod bilang pagsunod sa Energy Efficiency and Conservation Program ng national government.
Itinalaga ni Domogan si General Services Officer Eugene Buyucan na magsagawa ng monitoring at maghanda at magsumite ng semi-annual report sa Department of Energy (DOE).
Sa Memorandum No. 55series of 2019 ay ipinaalala ng mayor sa lahat ng departamentoat opisina na patayin ang mga ilaw, computer sets at iba pang electrical equipment kung hindi na ginagamit.
Hinikayat din niya ang mgadepartamento na mahigpit na ipatupad ang accomplishment of trip tickets bago gamitin ang lahat ng sasakyang de motor na pag-aari ng pamahalaang lungsod.
Upang masiguro na ang “no approved driver ’s tripticket-no travel” policy ay nagagawa ay itinalaga ng mayorang mga security guard ng GMT Interlink Security Management Corp. na hingin sa mga driver na magprisinta ng approved ticket bago gamitin ang service vehicles palabas ng City Hall lalo na sa weekends at holidays.
Ang EE&C Program ng DOE ay layong i-standardize ang energy efficiency at conservation measures sa bansa sa pagregulate ng paggamit ng energy efficient technologies sa mga gusali.
Ito ay naipatupad sa EE&C Act na naaprubahan noong Enero 16 ng Senado at Kongreso. The Act “provides for the Local Energy Efficiency and Conservation Plan as well as the inclusion of Energy Conserving Design on Buildings in the issuance of building permits,” ayon sa DOE.
“An Interagency Energy Efficiency and Conservation Committee will also be created for the implementation of the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP), which aims to reduce government agencies’ consumption of electricity and petroleum products,” dagdag pa ng DOE.
