The Philippine Red Cross thru RA 10072 was recognized as an independent, autonomous, nongovernmental organization auxiliary to the authorities of the Republic of the Philippines in providing relief, health and welfare and other humanitarian assistance to people in distress.
Red Cross Benguet Chapter volunteers in partnership with the Sablan Municipal DRRM conducted 2-days Seminar Workshop on Red Cross Youth Training on Basic Emergency First Aid and Basic Life Training at Ebbes Elementary school, Banengbeng, Sablan, Benguet on December 2-3, 2019.
There were 85 pupils and teachers from Ebbes Elementary School and Amsalsal Primary School participated in this activity. The participants were provided free lunch and snacks from the Municipal DRRM budget coordinated by Mr. Galo Santa, the Sablan Municipal DRRM chairman.
On the second day Sablan Municipal PNP and BFP joined the training wherein they discuss about peace and order, security and fire management. During the training workshop, the pupils actively participated and enjoyed the activities given.
They were very happy and feeling satisfied in doing all the skills presented and demonstrated. As a whole, the participants learned a lot in this training. They were thankful to the organizers and supporters of this program.
They have known that all the learning’s were necessary because these will be applied in their real life situations.
