“Shincheonji Church of Jesus Proposes Prayer Gathering for All Religious People of the World to End COVID-19.”
Online worldwide prayer gathering for the end of COVID-19 to be held at noon on Sept 16. Chairman Lee Man-hee, of Shincheonji Church of Jesus The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony
has proposed an online prayer gathering for all religious people of the world for the end of COVID-19. Chairman Lee said, “All religions of the world must come together to overcome the suffering and threat of COVID-19.
Let us first repent of our sins and forgive our neighbors then come together to pray for the end of COVD-19.” Shincheonji Church of Jesus has announced that all church members (referred to as the 12 tribes) in Korea and abroad will be carrying out an ‘online prayer gathering to overcome COVID-19’. This will be a no-contact gathering and the members will be participating from their homes. Shincheonji Church is asking all religious people who have the same intention to come together with one heart and join in prayer.
This prayer gathering, which has been proposed by Chairman Lee Man-hee, will be done with the intention of praying for the elimination of the coronavirus from the world and every country amidst the worldwide threat that has been brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. “It will also be a gathering where each person repents for the sins that they have knowingly and unknowingly committed.
In particular, its intention is to overcome this disaster with religion taking the lead while transcending denominations and religious affiliation,” a church official added. Shincheonji Church of Jesus has said, “Amid the situation where the whole world is suffering because of COVID-19, we would like to break down the barriers of denominations and different religions to unite and pray to overcome this disaster” and added, “We believe that if we all pray with one heart from where we are, heaven will be moved.”
※ Note: We would like to clarify that all churches of Shincheonji Church of Jesus nationwide have been conducting no-contact online worship services since February 18.
