Solar Powered Irrigation System (SPIS)

Agriculture Secretary Manny Piñol turned-over the newly completed Solar Powered Irrigation System (SPIS) to the Municipal Local Government Units of Tayum and La Paz in Abra during his visit on Friday May 24.
Each SPIS, located in Sitio San Vicente, Barangay Bagalay, Tayum and in Sitio Piddocol, Barangay Malabbaga, La Paz, costs Php. 6 Million and can irrigate 10 hectares of rice areas. Assisting him is Abra Goc. Jocelyn Valera-Bernos.
