Abra river drowning victim found after 16 days

BANGUED, Abra

After more than two weeks, search teams finally found the body of a drowning victim at the river in
Barangay Quillat, Langiden, Abra Wednesday. Joseph Borreta, 32, from Agtangao, Bangued, Abra’s capital was reported missing after he drowned while crossing the river on December 4, 2023.

For more than two weeks, search teams from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Bangued, Bangued and Langiden town police, troops from the Cordillera police Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 15 aided by villagers conducted operations, then later also joined in by personnel of the Langiden Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, San Quintin and Pidigan town MDRRM. Even Ilocos Sur PDRRM search teams joined in locating for Borreta and until Wednesday morning that he was found floating along the river in Langiden town.

No.9 most wanted person ng Tabuk City, nadakip

TABUK CITY, Kalinga

Nadakip ng pulisya ang tinaguriang No.9 Most Wanted Person ng Tabuk City, matapos
matiyempuhan ito sa kanyang bahay sa Sitio Basao, Barangay Dilag, Tabuk City, Kalinga,noong umaga ng Disyembre 21. Nabatid kay Lt.Col. Jolly Ngaya-an, acting chief of police, matapos ang 11 buwan na pagtatago, ay natiyempuhan ng mga tauhan Tabuk City PS at Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force 1st Company ang suspek na si Wacnang Uwar,24, kasama ang live-in partner nito sa kanyang pinagtataguang bahay.

Ayon kay Ngaya-an, inilabas ang warrant of arrest laban sa suspek noong Enero 11,2023 sa kasong Roberry with Violence and Intimidation against person sa sala ni Judge Jerson Angog, ng Branch 25, 2nd Judicial Region, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga. Sinabi ni Ngaya-an na, “Nangako ang mga pulis ng Tabuk City na pananagutin ang lahat ng mga wanted person na inakusahan ng paggawa ng mga kriminal na aktibidad, para sa hustisya ng mga biktima.”
