Baguio City and Benguet towns log zero Covid cases

BAGUIO CITY (December 14, 2021)— Good news!
The Baguio City Health and Services Office (HSO) said no new COVID-19 case has been logged.
And Baguio City has now only 20 active cases.
Unfortunately, the HSO recorded a single Covid-related death on Monday.
Meanwhile, Kabayan, Benguet also announced that as of 5PM of December 13, 2021, there are no more active cases in the town.
The local government unit (LGU) of Kabayan stated that the absence of cases is the result of the cooperation and efficient coordination of the Kabayan Covid Surge Incident Management Team, medical frontliners, municipal officials, employees and especially of the community.
While Bokod and Bakun towns, also in Benguet, logged no active cases as of 5 PM of  December 12, 2021 according to the Benguet Provincial Health Office (PHO).
Health authorities from the LGUs of Baguio City and the three towns of Benguet and the Benguet Province are encouraging the people to have themselves vaccinated.
They reminded the people that it is their responsibility to keep themselves immune from the virus and it is their duty to keep their community safe.
The Cordillera Regional Vaccination Operations Center meanwhile declared that all systems in the region are ready for the second round of  “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” National Vaccination Days on December 15 to 17, 2021.
The target number to be vaccinated is 68,247 eligible population or people aged 12 and above.
Benguet is targeting 31,161 ; Ifugao – 15,261 ; Kalinga is 9,909; Mountain Province is 6,792;  Apayao 3,306 and Abra is 1,818. Baguio City will participate in the National Vaccination Days but did not set a target because the LGU claimed that it already achieved the 70 percent target.
