CDH celebrates World Health Day

CABA, La Union – Caba District Hospital (CDH) celebrated World Health Day with an array of activities which included Information Education Campaign (IEC), distribution of Smoking Cessation Stickers and free therapeutic massage on April 5, 2019 at CDH, Caba, La Union.
Supervising chief nurse Kristian C. Ducusin and Program Coordinator Geraldine T. Posadas intensified CDH’s campaign on immunization.
Ducusin emphasized that immunization is free and safe with the increasing number of measles cases. She encouraged participants to get their children immunized.
CDH chief Gretchen F. Aromin and staff distributed 30 smoking cessation stickers bearing the tag line “Bawal Magsigarilyo sa Loob ng Pampublikong Sasakyan” to public utility vehicles along the National Highway of Poblacion Sur, Caba, La Union.
According to Dr. Aromin, this activity aims to stop smoking not just in public areas but in public vehicles as well.
A free therapeutic massage by the ABONO Partylist Scholars was also conducted benefiting at least 35 patients and CDH staff.
World Health Day is observed every 7th day of April to mark the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1948. The activity aims to raise global awareness on important health issues worldwide.
