Diploma is not only the determinants of success

As the end of this month approaches and we are looking forward for the month of April which is the season we are looking for, since this is the time for receiving certificates and diploma which means a milestone in life.  For the Grade six learners, this means it is the end of childhood life and the high school completers it means growing up and being independent, it is the beginning of adulthood and career.
This     School Year (SY) 2017-2018, the Department of Education (Dep-Ed) announces the conduct of the End of School Year Rites: Moving up for kindergarten and Grade 10;  Graduation for Grade 6 and 12. The 2018 ceremonies shall focus on the theme Mag-aaral ng K to 12: Handa sa Hamon ng Buhay (K to 12 Learners: Ready to Face Life’s Challenges” is definitely significant!
I believe   that this theme does not only apply to our graduates but to all of us,  that the theme defines the caliber and mindset that graduation is not the  finish line; it’s actually the start of serious and more challenging tasks, because   indeed in the course of life, we are faced with challenges, criticisms and tribulations.  Sadly sometimes it is given by people who are closest to us and it happens in unexpected situations,    because life is not about rainbows and butterflies.   Let us learn from every experience.  Look at problem calmly and find solution. Put into mind that every struggle carries the opportunities to learn and grow. Your future depends on how you tackle them.
It was once said by Nelson Mandela that “Education is the most powerful weapon which we can use to change the world but contrary to it, I believe it should be a good education and graduant   with a diploma is not the only element for one’s success in career or in life.
In the real world, one of the most important skills that one should possess to survive is emotional intelligence.  Through it, it can change your outlook, mindset and attitude towards all things.  You will see and perceive things positively.  It is a critical skill because it impacts most everything you do, say and react on all things. It allows you to keep things in perspective and remember what really matters in life. That there are opportunities in every struggle.
Of course history is full of examples that people have    succeed  and made worthy decision    by applying emotional intelligence, adding the  faith in God,  because  the bible tells us to respond with correct emotion and strong faith, because with Him nothing is impossible.
