VISITA Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat led the ceremonial switching to launch the Baguio Visitor Information and Travel Assistance or VIS.I.T.A., the digital platform for visitor management system in line with the re-opening of Baguio City of its doors to tourists at the Baguio Convention Center on Tuesday September 22, 2020. The event also launched the Ridge and Reef “Baguio – Region 1” Travel Corridor, for the gradual reopening to tourists of Baguio City with the provinces of La Union, Pangasinan, Ilocos Sur, and Ilocos Norte (BLUPISIN).
The tourism corridor, or “tourism bubble,” will allow residents of Baguio City to travel within the Ilocos region and residents in Region 1 will also be allowed in the tourism destinations in Baguio City on a limited capacity amid the coronavirus threat.
