IN BONTOC, 2 TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS RECORDED

At around 1:50 P.M. today, another call was received by personnel on duty at the Emergency Operations Center regarding a motor vehicle collision transpired along Bontoc -Baguio road, specifically along Alab Section involving a red Innova vehicle with four individuals on board. Per initial interview with the driver, they came from Sagada, Mountain Province and were on their way to Sabangan, Mountain Province.

The driver, Nathan Dicoy, resident of Quirino Hill, Baguio City sustained minor injury and was immediately treated at the incident site. Meanwhile, the other three passengers namely; John Ray Faycho, Jude Mariano, and Jin Fray from La Trinidad Benguet, were referred to the Bontoc General Hospital due to high blood pressure. Bontoc Mayor Jerome “Chagsen” Tudlong, Jr., thanked all the responders as well as the community volunteers for their immediate response.

Mayor Tudlong reiterated the importance of driving defensively and checking the BLOWBAGETS which means battery, lights, oil, water, brake, air, gas, engine, tire, and self. The responding teams are Bontoc Municipal Police Station, Bontoc Emergency Response Team, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Municipal Health Office, Bontoc Municipal Fire Station.
