LUMC shares best practices to CALABARZON healthcare providers

AGOO, La Union – Officers of the La Union Medical Center (LUMC) in Agoo, La Union led by Chief Executive Officer Glenn Ernest M. Fonbuena, presented the hospital’s best practices and innovations to healthcare providers from the Department of Health Center for Health Development IV (DOH-CHD IV) CALABARZON Health Facility Operation and Development Unit, during the latter’s benchmarking tour at LUMC on July 16-17, 2019.
Dr. Fonbuena expressed his gratitude to the group for choosing LUMC for their Cross Learning Activity, as he emphasized LUMC’s commitment in continuing its good practices and initiatives that are geared towards the transformative governance journey set by Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III.
The 21 personnel from the DOH-CHD IV learned from the presentations on the different LUMC’s hospital operations and systems during their visit, aside from the hospital tour they had.
DOH-CHD IV regional director Eduardo C. Janairo said his office chose to visit LUMC for its unique Economic and Corporate Sustainability framework in a devolved provincial hospital in La Union.
The LUMC was also once considered as a “business school” by the DOH. The DOH-CHD IV also paid a courtesy visit to Gov. Pacoy at the Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.
