MUAY THAI WORLD YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP

Baguio athletes and their coaches won three (3) gold and two (2) silver medals for the Philippine National Muay Thai team during the International Federation of Muay Thai Association (IFMA) Muay Thai World Youth Championship that was held last August 9 – 21, 2022 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The city government represented by Vice Mayor Faustino Olowan with members of the city council congratulated Edel Ali P. Ngina won Gold on Waikru and Maimuay Double (14-15 years old) and Silver on Grand Slam Combat and Clark G. Fattit won Gold on Maimuay Double and Silver on Youth Championship Combat 40kg (14-15 years old) category.

Team Manager Joseph B. Oloan with coaches Zaide B. Laruan, Billy B. Alumno and Edzel L. Ngina were also recognized. A framed copy of the city resolution was given to them last October 24, 2022 at the Baguio City Hall multipurpose hall.
