Quakes jolt Candon City

Candon City in Ilocos Sur was jolted by three earthquakes Thursday afternoon which were felt in various areas in Northern Luzon.
At 2:08 PM Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PhIVolcS) recorded a 5.1 earthquake with a depth of 014 Km in Candon City, Ilocos Sur.
It was traced originating from tectonic movement at 17.27°N, 119.86°E – 063 km N 79° W of Candon City. Intensity IV was felt in Candon City and San Esteban, also in Ilocos Sur. While Intensity III shake was felt in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur; Pinili, Ilocos Norte; Sudipen and Bangar, La Union; Bolinao and Alaminos City, Pangasinan Intensity II was felt in Sinait, Santa Cruz and Santa Lucia, Ilocos Sur; Bacarra, Ilocos Norte; and San Juan, La Union.
Intensity 1 was also experienced at Baguio City; Itogon, Benguet; Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte At 5:45 PM also Thursday, another 2.9 magnitude quake was recorded in Candon City, also of tectonic in origin with a depth of 001 Km located at 17.08°N, 119.81°E – 068 km S 82° W of the city.
And at 6:22 PM also on Thursday, another 3.0 magnitude quake was recorded in Candon City with a depth of 001 Km and tectonic origin. It was located at 17.19°N, 119.91°E – 056 km N 87° W of that same city.
