Rep. Eric Go Yap ACT-CIS Partylist legeslative caretaker

On Thursday, Benguet Caretaker Eric Go Yap filed House Bill No. 6851, to be known as “Benguet Province TESDA Training and Assessment Centers Act”.

The said house measure forwards the establishment of a TESDA Center in each of the Municipality in the Province of Benguet, namely: Atok, Bakun, Bokod, Buguias, Itogon, Kabayan, Kapangan, Kibungan, La Trinidad, Mankayan, Sablan, Tuba, and Tublay.

“In consistence with the thrust of Mobile Tulong – a program we launched last April in which we directly deliver our services and assistance to our constituents around Benguet – we are putting forward the establishment of a TESDA Training and Assessment Center in each of the Municipality in our Province,” Yap pronounced.

“Our goal here is to bring the technical at vocational training skills development programs closer to the people of Benguet.Once the Centers are established, there will be no need for those enrolled in the program to go extra miles just to attend the training.

Instead of spending on rent and transportation, they could redirect their budget to their other priorities,” he said.

“This is a great opportunity for those interested to learn new skills that they could earn from.

Through the programs offered by TESDA, learners will be equipped with basic practical knowledge and technical expertise they can use to be self-reliant, productive, and employable,” the solon noted.

“Here in Benguet, we are inherently community-centered. As much as the establishment of TESDA Centers provides for self-improvement, it also promotes for community involvement.

With their enhanced capacities, individuals also build up their communities to be more efficient and progressive,” Yap stated.
