230 wanted persons, 92 drug suspects nabbed in weeklong operations in Ilocos Region

The Police Regional Office-1 scored in its anti-criminality campaign following the arrest of 230 wanted persons and 92 drug suspects during a week-long nationwide implementation of Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) on January 23-29.
Brigadier General John Chua,regional director, confirmed that police operatives from the four police provincial offices simultaneously implemented two Nationwide Simultaneous AntiCriminality and Law Enforcement Operations: one for Service of Warrant of Arrest and one for Supply Reduction Operation Against Illegal Drugs.

On the Nationwide SACLEO on Service of Warrant of Arrest, a total of 230 Wanted Persons were arrested. Based on the record, Pangasinan recorded the highest number of arrests with 139, Ilocos Norte 42, La Union 35, and Ilocos Sur 14. In the Supply Reduction Operation Against Illegal Drugs,
PRO 1 was able to seize 44.490 grams of Shabu, 518.75 grams of Marijuana, and 38,120 pieces of Marijuana Plants with a combined Standard Drug Price of P7,988,782.00. Meanwhile, a total of 85 operations on illegal drugs resulted in the apprehension of 92 drug personalities (73 in Pangasinan;
9 in La Union; 6 in Ilocos Norte, and 2 in Ilocos Sur).

Chua lauded the operatives for their dedication and commitment to the continuous anti-criminality campaign of PRO 1. “These feats on the arrest of wanted persons and drug personalities are breakthroughs in the PRO1’s continuing effort against all forms of criminality. It is a manifestation that your police remain resilient and relentless in the implementation of focused police operations against all forms of criminality,” Chua stressed. Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) is a synchronized all-out campaign against illegal drug personalities, most wanted persons, and loose firearms.
