Barangay Balili 1st Foundation Day

The 1st Foundation Day of Barangay Balili in La Trinidad, Benguet is the most awaited and the busiest special event celebrated in the community.
It is the time to commemorate the birth of the barangay. A great deal of hurried activities, boundless excitement and anticipation awaited participants for the event that took place on April 10, 2019 to April 15, 2019.
The event started with an ecumenical mass attended by different Christian Churches and congregations.
According to Barangay Captain Billy “The Action Man” Marcos Bilango, Balili used to be a part of Eastern Pico along with barangay Tawang, Lubas and Ambiong.
In 1963, the places were separated and Balili became one barangay. Punong Barangay Bilango proudly and humbly claimed that it’s his administration that celebrated the first foundation anniversary of the barangay with a barangay ordinance.
Barangay Balili is now 53 years old. Kagawad Ceril Elio emphasized the theme “Pansaksakey (Unity): Pannam-ayan tan Panshegshan”.
He also said that the first foundation anniversary celebration was a success for the following reasons: support from the business sector; support from Globe Telecom; and the Medical Team which was sponsored by BSU Coop.
This event also supports the livelihood of the PWD, Pink ladies, BPAT, and BHW. Kagawad Mila Miranda Bingcola was also thrilled of the participation of Balili Elementary School teachers headed by Franklyn B. Fianza.
She also appreciated the Senior Citizens who attended the event to the fullest and the most behaved during the event. She said the full support of BPAT headed Mr. John Abing was amazing. Lastly, to one and all, Mabuhay!
