Cashiered Constable Wanted For 3-decades Old Cagayan Murder Fall In Bulacan

BAGUIO CITY (January 28, 2021) –  A cashiered policeman of the old Philippine Constabulary/Integrated National Police (PC/INP) who had been hiding for 30 years from double murder fell Wednesday in Balagtas, Bulacan.
Rogelio Garduque, 59, considered by the Cagayan Valley police as that region’s “Top 4 Most Wanted” who had a P100,000.00 bounty for his capture,  was cornered by Isabela police operatives before lunch Wednesday, said Cagayan Valley police director Brig. Gen. Crizaldo Nieves.
Garduque earlier lived in Brgy. Centro 7, Claveria, Cagayan but went into hiding in Balagtas, Bulacan assuming another name after shooting to death two victims in Claveria, Cagayan sometime August in 1988.
Sanchez Mira, Cagayan RTC Executive Judge Adrian Pagalilauan who ordered for his arrest recommended P200,000.00 each for Garduque’s two murder charges.
Nieves claimed relentless manhunt and surveillance on Garduque since last year led Isabela policemen to him, hence rendering justice to the families of his two murder victims.
