Congressman Eric Yap partners with Benguet Vice Governor Johny Waguis

CONGRESSMAN ERIC YAP PARTNERS WITH BENGUET VICE GOVERNOR JOHNNY WAGUIS TO PROVIDE BENGUET CITIZENS WITH LOW-COST CHICKENS CALLED “MANOK NA PUTI” PROGRAM
Benguet Caretaker and ACT-CIS Representative Eric Go Yap partnered with Benguet Vice Governor Johnny Waguis in launching the “MANOK NA PUTI, 50 PESOS ONLY” Program which intends to sell a live chicken for only fifty (50) pesos. It was officially launched last Saturday in the municipalities of Tublay, Kapangan and Kibungan.
“It was a successful launch, about 3,000 chickens were sold at nagpapasalamat tayo sa mga Mayors na buong pusong sumuporta at tumanggap sa programang ito.
Under the Manok Na Puti Program, chickens will be sold for only 50 pesos to the people with a maximum of two heads purchase per person. These chickens were originally bought for 70 pesos and the 20-peso difference will be split between the Congressman and the Vice Governor.
Hati kami ni VG Waguis doon sa 20 pesos na ibabawas and we are estimating to sell around 10,000 chickens for this program.
This program comes after a series of assistance provided by the lawmaker to the citizens since the ECQ started. Previously, he launched the Mobile Tulong Program following the Bigas ng Bayan Program. He also distributed Vitamin C to Senior Citizens and donated various type of assistance in the form of PPEs, cash, medicines, vegetables and other essential goods.
