Lady cop cry rape by superior, a Police Major from Baguio City

BAGUIO CITY (June 11, 2022)— Appropriate charges are being readied against a Police Major, who hails from Baguio City, who reportedly raped a Patrolwoman in Davao Oriental.

According to the Davao Oriental Police Provincial Office (PPO), the rape incident occured on June 10, 2022 inside the quarters of the 2nd Davao Oriental Provincial Mobile Force Company (DOPMFC) at Batasan, Barangay Bagumbayan, Lupon, Davao Oriental.

The suspect was identified as Police Major Warren Damogo Dilem, 35, a resident of Camp 7 here, presently assigned at 2nd DOPMFC as OIC- Force Commander.

According to the blotter of the Lupon Municipal Police Station, the lady cop together with another two companions went with Dilem to the barracks of the 48th Infantry Battalion Philippine Army (IBPA) to attend a party at 8:00 PM on June 9, 2022.

The report stated that the victim drank a bottle of beer while her companions consumed bottles of intoxicating alcohol.

After the party, the victims and her companions together with the suspect returned to their quarters at Bagumbayan.

Accordingly, at around 2:30 AM on June 10, 2022, the victim went to the comfort room to urinate.   When she went back to her room, Dilem followed her and even lied down on her bed beside her.   She protested that the suspect should go back to his room but instead of heeding, the police officer continued to annoy the victom, even asking for a hug.

The victim went out of the room and informed one of his superiors on the presence of Dilem inside of her room. In a few minutes, Dilemm left.

At around 3:00 AM also on June 10, while the victim was already in her room and about to sleep, Dilem knocked on her door.   When she opened the door and told the suspect to go back to his room, he pushed her inside instead,

locked the door and proceeded on allegedly raping the victim.

After the sexual attack,  the suspect even slept on the victim’s bed while she went to the room of one of her colleagues.

At first, the victim was hesitant to report the matter because of fear of being humiliated comsidering the influence of the suspect.

But at around 9:40 PM of June 10, 2022, the victim finally reported the incident prompting the Lupon police to catch the police officer.

The victim was assisted by the Womens and Childrens Police Desk (WCPD) in preparing her affidavit and complaint. A case of Violation of RA 8353 will be slapped against Dilem.
