Since the start of the month, the CHO logged deaths everyday with the lowest at one on October 11, when the city logged its first double digit new cases of 88 which was 37 days since the city tallied its last double digit total new cases of 96.
Baguio logged normally six or seven deaths a day. It had six deaths on October 1, 2 and 10 and seven on October 6, 17 and 18. And low of two on October 3, 14 and 19. Starting October 11, recoveries outpace new cases with 297 recovered patients on said date.

Meanwhile, the city through the CHO has put on the gas on its vaccination efforts with 174,262 residents that have already been fully vaxxed, while some 239,600 have already availed of their first dose. The city is targeting 281,000 residents to be jabbed to achieve herd immunity. Mayor Benjamin Magalong said that they are now targeting 100 percent of said number.
The city has also started jabbing A6 priority group, even as it started accepting registrations for 17 year old and younger residents.
Magalong has likewise started aggressive vaccination efforts for workers from the LISTT (La Trinidad, Itogon, Sablan, Tuba, Tublay) areas. “With vaccines readily available, we could also accommodate their families later. Tulungan natin sila, after all we belong to the same community,” Magalong said.
