On legalizing marijuana for medical use

Senator JV Ejercito Estrada (l), chairman of the Senate Health Committee, said he is open to the legalization of marijuana for medical use if this will help in saving lives during a press conference on Nov. 3 at Barrio Fiesta Resto, Upper Session. But, he said, substance abuse is a concern, “we need to put safeguards to prevent abuse.” Estrada is the guest of honor and speaker of the PMA Parade and Review on Nov. 4.
