‘Oplan Tulong Kapatid’ inilunsad para sa Marawi victims

SAN FERNANDO CITY, LA UNION – Naglunsad ang Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council sa Rehiyon 1 (RDRRMC-1) ng relief drive upang makatulong sa mga sundalo at nag-evacuate na mga residenteng damay sa giyera sa Marawi.
Ang donation campaign ay binansagang Oplan Tulong Kapatid na inilunsad sa seremonya ng National Disaster Resilience Month sa Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) Region 1.
Ayon kay Director Melchito Castro, RDRRMC-1 chairperson at OCD-1 director, naibigay na sa mga ahensiya ang opisyal na komunikasyon upang tumulong sa pangangasiwa ng donation drive.
Paglilinaw ni Castro na ang mga donasyon, na boluntaryo, ay maaaring “in kind or in the form of cash”.
“I learned that our soldiers and displaced residents in Marawi City are in need of hygiene kits, clothing, and medicines and vitamins, thus what we can offer to our fellow Filipinos affected by the Marawi siege is very much appreciated,” ani Castro.
“Through the small things that we can offer to our people in Marawi, we can be heroes in our little way,” dagdag niya.
Ang Operation Tulong Kapatid ay dating programa ng Department of Education na may layuning magtipon ng boluntaryong donasyon ng school supplies para sa mahihirap ngunit karapat-dapat na mga mag-aaral.
Sa ngayon ang programa ay muling ibinalik ng RDRRMC-1 na may pangunahing layunin na makapag-abot ng tulong sa mga apektadong mamamayan ng Marawi.
Sa mga nagnanais na magbigay ng tulong, maaaring tumungo sa opisina ng RDRRMC1 sa El Fabro Building, Pagdalagan, San Fernando City, La Union, pagtatapos ni Castro. FGL, PIA-1 / ABN
