Drug Den Raided In Baguio City

BAGUIO CITY (March 26, 2021) — Authorities raided an alleged drug den at Middle Rock Quary barangay here, seized its maintainer, a supposed drug den customer and at least P34,000 worth of shabu midnight Thursday.
Drug den maintainer Joriel Quinto Torio, 27 and 18 year old Jhiral Bautista were hauled for booking for illegal drug charges after Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents led by Intelligence Agent V Charlton Carame and Baguio policemen caught them with at least  A drug den run by a community problem Joriel Torio was dismantled by combined agents led by IA V Charlton Carame of PDEA LTIU and BCPO Station 5 in the middle of the night at Middle Rock Quarry, Baguio City on March 26, 2021.
Arrested along with Torio, considered a “High Value Target” (HVT) of the PDEA was with 18 years old Jhiral Bautista when operatives swooped down at the apartment turned into a drug den.
At least 7 plastic sachets of shabu that weighed at least 5 grams valued at P34,000 were seized including a bundle of empty plastic sachets, a glass tooter,  various drug paraphernalia,  a digital weighing scale used in the drug trade of Torio, and the duo’s cellular phones.
Baguio Assistant Prosecutor Oliver Prudencio oversaw the inventory of the seized drug items and paraphernalia along with a local journalist and Brgy. Captain Arnold Camongao as witnesses of the search ordered by Executive Judge aria Ligaya Itliong-Rivera of the Baguio Regional Trial Court branch 5.
PDEA-Cordillera director Gil Castro vows that anti-drug agents will continue running after small as well as big-time drug dealers and users as he affirmed the readiness of PDEA-Cordillera “to meet head-on to anyone who will resist the arrest that would endanger his agents and their witnesses.
