Former Abra SP Member Caught For Illegal Gun

La Trinidad Benguet (March 28, 2021) – A former Abra Sangunniang Panlalawigan member was arrested in Manabo town Thursday last week after policemen raided his house where he was illegally keeping a pistol.
Abra policemen with operatives from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group armed with a search warrant swooped down at the house of Elmer Sawadan Gayao Sr., 71, at Barangay San Ramon West, Manabo, and found
an unregistered caliber 9mm Tanfoglio pistol, two magazines and 35 bullets for the said gun.
Gayao Sr., who was present during the implementation of the search warrant was taken by the Manabo town policemen for further questioning and booking for violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunitions Regulation Act), while the unregistered pistol, magazine and bullets were seized as evidence against him.
