PGLU sumama sa inagurasyon ng Pugo Sanitary landfill

PUGO, La Union – Sa ngalan ni Governor Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III ay dumalo si EnP. Annalyn Rosario-Valdez, Supervising Environmental Management Specialist ng Office of the Provincial Governor – Environment and Natural Resources Unit (OPGENRU) bilang kinatawan ng Provincial Government of la Union (PGLU) sa pagbabasbas at inagurasyon ng LGU-Pugo Sanitary Landfill Facility sa Barangay Maoasoas Norte, Pugo, La Union noong Disyembre 21, 2020.
“The inauguration of this sanitary landfill is a testament that even in the midst of pandemic, the local government continues to uphold its commitment to preserve the integrity of the environment. Through this facility, we ensure sustainability of our efforts on solid waste management, which all the more should be a priority in environmental governance,” ani Gov. Pacoy sa kaniyang mensahe.
Ang pagbabasbad at inagurasyon ng sanitary landfill facility ay pinangunahan ni Mayor Priscilla M. Martin, Vice Mayoe Jose B. Basallo, at lahat ng department heads, mga moyembro ng Sangguniang Bayan at opisyal ng barangay ng Local Government Unit ng Pugo. Sumalo rin si Provincial Engineer Ressie A. Estrella sa nasabing aktibidad.
May lawak na tatlong ektarya ang sanitary landfill facility ng LGU- Pugo na may mga garbage trucks at mga kasangkapan gaya ng shredders at material recovery facility gyundin ang isang solid waste management support facilities. Nagbigay ng tulong ang PGLU sa pagtatatag ng sanitary landfill support facilities. Nabigyan ang Pugo ng garbage truck at multi-purpose vehicle bilang premyo sa pagkakapanalo ng Search for the Cleanest, Safest, and Greenest CY 2018 ng PGLU.
