Terraced Cannabis Plantations In Kapangan, Benguet Raided

BAGUIO CITY (September 14, 2020) –  Benguet policemen overran terraced cannabis plantations worth almost a million along the mountain sides in sitio Tokob Bileng, barangay Sagubo in Kapangan town, Benguet Sunday afternoon again indicating that marijuana plantations in the hinterland region are not merely natural growths.
Kapangan town policemen torched down a total of P926,000.00 worth of marijuana on 750 square meter terraced lot (P54,000) and another 6,700 square meter terraced lot (P860,000) nearby.
At least 100 pieces of already dried MJ leaves valued at P12,000 were also discovered beneath a makeshift shanty.
Pagkalinawan said the “find” proves again that MJ is consciously planted and regarded as “agriculture” in the area and elsewhere in the highland region as against the perennial sheepish escape that they are natural growths on difficult to reach mountain slopes.
While thanking the growing consciousness among villagers to tip off MJ plantations,  Pagkalinawan profusely urged, “sana seedlings pa lang, ireport na para maputol at huwag na hintayin magkaroon pa ng buto.”
