Restrictions imposed in some areas in Ifugao for contact tracing

LAMUT, Ifugao, Sept. 18 (PIA) – The municipal mayors of Alfonso Lista and Lagawe towns placed some of their barangays under restrictions for safety measures against the Coronavirus Disease – 2019.
Alfonso Lista Mayor Edralin Alipio imposed a localized temporary lockdown at Purok 2 of Barangay San Jose on September 16 until midnight of September 21, 2020 for contact tracing and to mitigate the possible spread of the virus among the primary and secondary contacts of the second confirmed COVID-19 case of the municipality who is a resident of said place.
Alipio directed the barangay officials to secure all entry and exit points of Purok 2 for health measures and advised the public to stay calm and continue practice the minimum health protocols. Alfonso Lista District Hospital chief Dr. Ceasar Sevilleja issues an Advisory that its emergency room and out-patient department are temporary closed for decontamination while waiting for the RT-PCR results of the first level contacts of the COVID-19 patient who was admitted in the medical facility.
As Lagawe town recorded yesterday two more confirmed COVID-19, Mayor Martin Habawel Jr. placed Purok C of Poblacion South under temporary calculated lockdown today until 12:00PM of September 20 to facilitate contact tracing, testing, quarantine and disinfection activities. One case, an officemate of an COVID-19 patient, is a resident of said place.

As of September 17, 2020, the province of Ifugao has a total of 31 confirmed cases with six active and 25 recoveries.
